Anne SHIRLEY

Anne Shirley was born in a poor orphanage in Nova Scotia, Canada. She was a bright and curious child, but she was also lonely and often bullied by the other orphans. When she was 11 years old, she was adopted by Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, a brother and sister who lived on a farm in Avonlea. Anne was a handful at first. She was always getting into trouble, and she didn't always follow the rules. But Matthew and Marilla loved her, and they eventually taught her how to be a good person. Anne grew up to be a kind and compassionate woman, and she became a beloved member of the community. She also became a writer, and she wrote many books about her life in Avonlea. Anne Shirley: Hello!
